Who we are
Quillmoor Holdings is a privately owned holding company. It exists to own a small number of operating businesses, and to acquire good ones when they come along.
We are deliberately quiet. We would rather the businesses we own be known for their work than for who owns them.
What we look for
We are interested in established, profitable businesses that people rely on and come back to. Typically that means:
- a straightforward model with a long record of trading;
- steady demand rather than rapid, fragile growth;
- owners thinking about succession who care what happens next;
- a team that wants to keep running things well.
How we own
We buy to keep. There is no exit timetable and no pressure to resell. We expect to change little at first, to learn the business before we touch it, and to reinvest when it serves the business rather than a deadline.
Patience is the point. Good businesses compound slowly, and we are content to let them.
